Yopaz IceStar
I made a port of my puzzle game Yopaz IceStar for the Playstation 1 for the Neo Compo 2013
You play as a little character named Yopaz and you must collect all the stars in the universe,
but the vacuum of space forces you to slide indefinitely when you run in one direction.
Only an ice wall will stop you in your tracks!
With this unusual constraint, you will need to collect all stars on each level.
Use the arrows on your joypad to move in any direction or navigate through the menus.
Use the X button to validate in the Menu, and Triangle button to get back.
In game, use the Triangle button to restart the level, and the X button to exit.
This puzzle game preview features 15 levels in 3 worlds.
Try to beat the best time !
The world "Advanced" provides additional features for seasoned players.
You will be able to change your color and collect stars of the corresponding color!
Your color will also allow you to go through teleporters, direction changers, or even protect you from enemies!
Download ISOs in 7Zip format (30MB - PAL, NTSC and JAP):
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/104 ... preview.7z
Video: http://vimeo.com/73975208
If people like the game, I might release a more complete CD version with 50 levels, online score system, and maybe a level editor.

interesting. will test it later. thanks for sharing
Looks great!
I'm going to give this a try very soon!
Edit: I've just given this a go and have to say it's great, even though I usually end up ragequitting this kind of puzzle game.

Wow, looks really polished. I tried playing a few levels and I really like it.
That's the kind of homebrew PlayStation needs.

why publish the source ? No body would use it.
I already published the source of the library I'm using to make this game, it's in my psx coding tutorial.
I will be selling this game on CD soon, it should be ready by the end of the month.
there will be 40 levels, a level editor (save on memory card) and a mini Pocketstation game included.

Awesome to hear man. Cant wait to be finished.
Ignore the source release request, every time I release something I get those kind of requests.
It's often coated as "learning from source" but I sadly believe it's to take advantage of someone else's hard work...
That's not to say that open source software is not beneficial (which it greatly is) but I believe author's stance on closed source should be respected.

you are embracing a misconception.
is in giving that we receive.
and nobody wants your program.
wants to make something good of him to incorprar in their projects.
you do what you have to do. or what you think is right.
we are already in ps4, nor is interesa by sony ps1.
just like the supporters of the concept of programming.
a platform hard and with little memory is the challenge for all those who like to program the ps1
(with ouya in the coming years ps1 goes out)

Shendo > and it's not like if it was 100% closed source, I gave the source of my psx game library for free, so if someone wants to make a game, it's already there with a nice tutorial available to everyone
But I don't see the point of releasing a complete game source, what would it be helpful beside making the same type of game ? use my general purpose library and make your own game bizarro
bizarro > Please stop with ouya, it's a modern android platform, nothing to do with retro console like the ps1.
from my point of view ouya has nothing interesting.
