Modifying an ISO (Action Replay) from PAL to NTSC

Hi, I'm wanting to modify my Action Replay V2 PSX disc which is PAL to NTSC. I realize this would mean ripping to modify it and burning to CD-R. Unfortunately the likes of Zapper 2K don't seem to recognize the ISO image. Also would rather not have to use a video mode boot disc to then switch to AR and then switch to a game after that.

In addition, I wonder if it would be possible to actually add codes to the disc itself, rather than use up a memory card block for additional codes.
