Net Yaroze - Modchip / Boot Disc

Post by Winterlake » July 22nd, 2024, 11:14 pm

Hi,

I have just bought a UK Pal Net Yaroze, console only.

I have managed to, via Delta, get hold of the Access Key and a USB adapter for the link cable.

The software is widely available online, however, to use the CDR Boot Disc in the Console I need to mod the console I believe.

What has been the best practice for this? A classic MM3 or Stealth mod chip?

What does the community recommend if I cannot find myself an original disc?

Kind thanks

Nowadays people use the PSNee modchip but otherwise you can't go wrong with a MultiMode 3 (which is also stealth).
Development Console: SCPH-5502 with 8MB RAM, MM3 Modchip, PAL 60 Colour Modification (for NTSC), PSIO Switch Board, DB-9 breakout headers for both RGB and Serial output and an Xplorer with CAETLA 0.34.

PlayStation Development PC: Windows 98 SE, Pentium 3 at 400MHz, 128MB SDRAM, DTL-H2000, DTL-H2010, DTL-H201A, DTL-S2020 (with 4GB SCSI-2 HDD), 21" Sony G420, CD-R burner, 3.25" and 5.25" Floppy Diskette Drives, ZIP 100 Diskette Drive and an IBM Model M keyboard.

Ok, so just a normal mod chip like stealth 2.8a will work?

I assume it’s just the same as the 100x PU8 installation?
