Stealth Unlocker ~ Plug n Play MOD
The ROM can be trimmed to 128KB if you need it to be. The actual size of the ROM data is very small. I thought we had options for 128k and 256k on the CD installer options.
The anti-mod patches as I said, we'd be looking at additional Japanese titles and maybe PAL titles but PAL titles are complicated due to LibCrypt being common. But maybe someday.

hmm adding PAL/NTSC selector or the button combo usually on cheat carts (L1+R1+Sel) or remove libcrypt (PAL) & action replay (NTSC) protection. Really, I don't know if you enable maybe it will not be Stealthy Plug and Play modchip as like before. Anyways I really appreciate your hardwork thanks very much.MottZilla wrote: ↑July 6th, 2023, 6:04 pmNothing new at this time. I'm not sure that there is a lot to add to it at this point. I don't think there is much functionality to be added outside of more anti-piracy protection patches for PAL and JP releases. Was there something you think would be useful to add?

Modify the ROM in a hex editor to shorten it down to 128Kb.

Japanese Capcom vs SNK Pro works to meMottZilla wrote: ↑July 22nd, 2022, 9:32 am This is a project I've been working on for a little while and finally is ready for release. Stealth Unlocker is a ROM to put on a Cheat Cartridge like the GameShark which turns it into something like a Stealthy Plug and Play modchip as it will allow you to boot Import and Unlicensed discs without installing a modchip and without changing the way your system looks when you turn it on. There are many methods to play these discs but this one is very light weight and stealthy. And the same ROM supports nearly all console regions and versions. And the support for Asian consoles is excellent.
Features:
+ American, European, and Net Yaroze Consoles
* CD-ROM drive is unlocked and will boot Unlicensed and Import discs.
* Anti-Mod patch to play protected games.
+ Japanese and Asian non-Japanese (SCPH-XXX3)
* License Data Region lockout on Japanese consoles is removed and will boot PAL & NTSC/U discs.
* CD Player swap trick is restored to enable booting Unlicensed and Import discs.
See text file for swap trick details.
* Swap Trick performance improvements including correct CD audio track playback and laser calibration.
* Note: These consoles don't have the secret unlock in their CD-ROM controller.
More information is included in the ZIP.
Could you make a 128KB version of Stealth from 220921?
Today many Action Replays get 128KB of capacibility.
I make Japanese Bust a Move 2 - Dance Tengoku Mix game works with a gameshark code on an American console. You should work with it:
D008FB02 1040
8008FB02 1000
D008FB78 2021
8008FB74 FFF6
D008FB78 2021
8008FB76 1000
Is there a plan to work gameshark codes on Stealth Unlocker?

I just modified the Stealth Unlocker 220921 for you, I stripped the .rom file to 128KB and generated a new rom flasher CD so everything should now work on 128KB flash carts. I tested this modified version on my 512KB GameShark Pro v3.0 and it works, I unfortunately do not actually have a 128KB cart to see for myself.Super-EuF wrote: ↑August 30th, 2023, 9:59 amJapanese Capcom vs SNK Pro works to meMottZilla wrote: ↑July 22nd, 2022, 9:32 am This is a project I've been working on for a little while and finally is ready for release. Thanks, but didn't work! Said:
Rom Size: 128k, EEPROM Size: 128k
Not enough room on the cart!
Trying to fit: 131101 bytes into 131072!

I'll wait for MottZilla's Stealth Unlocker update.
I'm hope he could use this gameshark code to Bust a Move 2 Dance Tengoku Mix for the next version:
D008FB02 1040

D008FB78 2021
8008FB76 1000
I don't know if it is possible.
It's really great that Capcom vs SNK Pro (JP) works on Stealth Unlocker!! Thanks!!

I don't plan on having a PAL/NTSC selection, though you might be able to do that with some boot discs. Libcrypt patches would be cool to add and maybe that could get added someday. But those are only in PAL releases so the easy work around I would imagine is just to use the NTSC releases instead.qkwyx wrote: ↑July 20th, 2023, 1:33 pm hmm adding PAL/NTSC selector or the button combo usually on cheat carts (L1+R1+Sel) or remove libcrypt (PAL) & action replay (NTSC) protection. As you mentioned, adding things like NTSC/PAL selection as well as built in GameShark stuff would kind of do away with the Stealth nature of it. You can still use a disc based GameShark with Stealth Unlocker. GameShark Lite is one such choice.
What is this gameshark code for Bust a Move 2 Dance Tengoku Mix about? Is it a protected game?

Is it possible transform a Brazilian Pal-M console in a NTSC one by using Stealth Unlocker software?
I think bypass the videogame by software.

Regarding the compatibility with the Japanese SCPH-7500, it's always recommended to check the specific details provided in the ZIP or any accompanying documentation.
Stealth Unlocker works with SCPH-7500 but that Cartridge you have may not. Some of the Cheat Cartridges use regular EPROMs and cannot be reprogrammed via the console.

Curious. Would it be possible to use a similar method to make a PAL system boot with 60Hz video output?
If so, I'd love to have an option for that
I've heard some later BIOS versions have just one bit to determine if the console should boot with 50 or with 60Hz video output, but I don't think this is the case for older BIOS version. If I remember correctly there was a mod chip that flipped this bit. But that doesn't work on older consoles.
