CatFlap for Linux
I found something
https://github.com/hkzlab/catflap4linux
Quick test with Debian Jessie 64bit, 'reset' and 'run' works, didn't test anything else.
(Xplorer with UniROM 0.2, Lenovo ThinkPad X61s with parallelport on UltraBase-dock).
Nice

Re: Xplorer FX and X-Flash: Black Screens
I am also looking for some roms in particular Zippy 0.33, Action Replay 3.3 Innovational, Ahoy 0.34. and EMS 1.55. They're nearly impossible to find online, let alone other roms in the correct format. Is there a converter for .fcd / .bin to .rom? Any help would be highly appreciated. I uploaded Aho...

PSXSERIAL v1.3 + ROMProd = InstaBootSerialLoader
Should work with any X-Flash supported device. I flashed some old Action Replay cart with it, works nicely.

Re: PSX CD-Player only Project
Yes, you can use Arduino, you just need level converter between 3.3V PS1-serial and 5V Arduino-serial. That MSP430-program should work with small changes on Arduino. Also you can start CD-Player-software from burned disc, just small changes to program so it ask audio-cd after program has started. It...

Re: PSX CD-Player only Project
After some tests I believe it's just different volume settings, my player uses default volume and system player uses max volume.
So I changed volume on my player also to max, and now both sound same to me.
Source and executable included.

Re: PSX serial
I made another serialcable, this time with fake Nokia CA-42 usb-to-serial cable form ebay. It has 3.3V TTL, so no need for level converter. Pcb has plastic cover, looks nice. I used connector in middle, so I can use it with another 3.3V devices also. Some weirdnes with drivers, on Win8.1 64bit I had...

Re: Xploder (Xplorer) Pinouts and Detailed Information
What is the 3pin transistor-like thing? Is that a 7805 voltage regulator? Yes, 78L05 Where does that extra resistor on the FX Pro board connect to? How many ohms does it have? Looks as if it might pass the power supply to some pin(s) on the DB25 connector; for use by the X-Assist add-on? 0.22ohm, p...

Re: PSX CD-Player only Project
I think it's because you take ground for display from Launchpad, try to connect display's ground to 5V usb-ground.
Keep display-ground and MSP430-ground separated.

Re: How to read bootfile name from system.cnf?
This works with most games I tested. Doesn't work with Gran Turismo for some reason. Maybe because in LoadExec stacksize = 0, don't know where to get correct size. #include <sys/types.h> #include <libgte.h> #include <libgpu.h> #include <libcd.h> #include <libetc.h> CdlFILE fp; char *file = "\\S...
